News from the website (Reporter Li Jing) On August 25, 2021, Chengdu FAWSN Trim laboratory was certified by FAW Toyota Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as FTRD) odor laboratory. It is reported that Chengdu FAWSN Automotive Trim is the only supplier certified by the FTRD odor laboratory in the Chengdu area of FAW Toyota. The approval of certification will significantly help the odor improvement experiment in the later stage of our Toyota 005D and 822B projects, saving the cost of outsourced odor testing by obtaining the report approved by the main machine manufacturer.
After two months of preparation, Chengdu FAWSN Trim laboratory has implemented the work in many aspects, including equipment purchase, laboratory layout, personnel selection, odor training, and standard interpretation and data documents. Meanwhile, it has also received strong support from the laboratory of Changchun headquarters. The odor evaluation team members have completely studied the odor standard methods of Toyota through continuous practice research and repeated practical exercises.

In May 2021, Chengdu FAWSN Trim laboratory welcomed the site assessment of FAW Toyota FTRD odor approval. Three teachers from Toyota odor team reviewed our laboratory, and comprehensively reviewed personnel, equipment, environment, testing standards, methods and documentation. During the audit, our 7 colleagues from the odor evaluation team had passed the odor identification examination. Meanwhile, they successfully passed the site product odor grade benchmarking with the teacher. During the site practical operation process assessment, the evaluation team received the professional guidance of the teacher, conducted deep technical exchanges with the audit teacher, and gained a further knowledge of the understanding of odor standards and the later development of interior odor work. In July, FAW Toyota asked our company to conduct sample benchmarking, and our company successfully completed the benchmarking.
